Labfors 5可用於微生物(microorganism)、細胞培養(cell culture)、光營養生物(phototrophic organism)及固態物質與酵素之生物過程(solid substrate and enzymatic bioprocess)的發酵培養，操作體積為0.5 L到10 L，玻璃槽體，能應用於具腐蝕性的培養液。Labfors 5擁有先進的系統控制，不論是在批次培養，進料批次培養或連續式培養均可進行。最高可一次控制六台相同條件的反應槽。而利用OPC server，能以最簡單的方式連接新增的感應器。人性化的介面控制，簡易上手。
